Forrester's Southwark

W.K. Forrester lived in Dulwich and was secretary of the South London Group from 1957 to his death in 1960. His accomplished work recorded the remaining older buildings, particularly around Southwark, but also some of the newer ones springing up around them as part of postwar development. Southwark council and the South London Gallery collected many artworks depicting the borough over the last several hundred years, from prints to paintings and photographs. The Keddie works are nice examples of these "topographical" collections which are extremely valuable for looking back on so much change.
