    DescriptionThree pieces of dried bread. A reputed cure for whooping cough. Some hair was cut from the back of the head of the sick person and placed between two pieces of bread, and the resulting sandwich offered to the first passing dog. If the dog swallowing it, the whooping cough passed from the child to the dog.
