DescriptionDjed pillar amulet with a hole at the top for suspension. Djed pillar amulets were commonly placed on mummies. They were associated with Osiris (the djed pillar represented Osiris' backbone) and represented stability. Amulets were worn or carried, or offered to a deity for power or protection.

The colour of an amulet was also an important factor to the Ancient Egyptians; green was symbolic of regeneration and the colour of this amulet would have added regenerative powers.
