Description19th century traders token. Farthing. Obverse: A cockerell looking at his reflection in a boot, inscription 'The effect of Warrens Blacking, London'. Reverse: A man shaving using his reflection in a boot inside the number "30". Inscription reads 'Warrens Blacking Strand'. Robert Warren manufactured and sold a liquid preservative used for keeping black leather supple.
