DescriptionLithograph of a greyhound racing dog. John Skeaping published a book titled "Drawing Dogs" (Watson-Guptill Publications, 1961). He also produced books on drawing Horses and on Animals, more broadly. As well as being a highly skilled draughtsman and illustrator, Skeaping was a successful sculptor and an important figure in the history of twentieth century British sculpture. Between 1925 and 1933 he was married to the well-known female British sculptor, Dame Barbara Hepworth.
