DescriptionBead necklace of blue & red glass beads (called Sihaka), white shell beads, and a hollow wooden pendant. The pendant was used as a whistle by blowing across the hollow end. It was used to start games, make signals and charm away thunder. This piece is from Bechuana, nowadays Botswana and you can see a very similar piece to this on display at Saffron Walden museum in Essex.
