DescriptionLong strip of barkcloth decorated by rubbing it with a leaf-rib stencil block. the leaf-rib stencil has now been replaced by carved wooden stencil blocks. The rubbed design forms the basis for designs painted onto the surface with pigments using the key of the pandana fruit.
