DescriptionThese studies are numbers 482-493 and are survivors of a set of 36 originally at the gallery. The remaining 14 were damaged beyond repair during the Second World War. The titles (taken from: Bennett, Mary. Ford Madox Brown: A Catalogue Raisonné, Yale University Press, 2010), are descriptive. Recto is called: "Outline of a man standing with arms raised holding a stave" and the verso view is called "Back view of the same figure; study of a hand".On View
