    DescriptionFigurine carved in the form of a nude male wearing a hat. Carved figures often embodied an animated force, such as that of an ancestor or animal spirit. The figures could be used to fix and channel power from these forces during ceremonies. The original label identifies this as being from West Africa and identified buy University College London as from Angola.
