DescriptionStela or prayer tablet depicting a deceased female standing in front of Ra, behind whom we see Isis. Four lines of hieroglyphs are carved below. At the top is a winged sun disk painted in red. Steles like this were placed in the mortuary chapels built above or near to the tomb. They often contained painted walls with scenes of the deceased and gods. The chapels enabled relatives to bring offerings for the deceased continued wellbeing in the afterlife.
