DescriptionSole of an ancient Egyptian sandal made of woven palm-leaves. From the Museum of Henry Rhodes and brought to England by Giovanni D'Athanasi.This incredibly delicate piece had been on public display in the museum and survived the fire which affected the museum galleries in March 2013.
