DescriptionFragment of mummified bone from the skull of a mummy. This piece is associated with the Leverian museum, which started life near Leicester Square and ended it in a building based near the south end of Blackfriars Bridge, London. Richard Cuming bought several lots from the sale of the museum's collections held when it closed in 1806 and these pieces formed the bulk of his own early collection.
