DescriptionRectangular tablet of carved terracotta covered with a black varnish making it resemble slate. It is decorated on the front in shallow carved relief with the torso of a man wearing a laurel wreath, and an inscription in fake Greek beneath. The reverse has its sale price label of £30. One of a set of four, which Richard Cuming dated to the 4th Century but are all forgeries.
