DescriptionPendant for a lady's waist cord. It is decorated with an ornament in the form of a buddha's hand citron, a yellow fruit native to many parts of Asia but thought to be originating in India. It has a flat knot in the cord at the top, and a long fine silk cord tassel. The fruit model is possibly chamois leather and may have originally been bright yellow like its real life counterpart.
