These comfortable looking slippers are made of Red Morocco, a type of leather that was popular throughout Europe, Africa and Asia for the manufacture of footwear. It is made of goat skin, tanned and dyed with sumac and cochineal. Soft and hardwearing, this leather is also frequently used for binding books.
