Stanley Roy Badmin ARE, RWS

1906 - 1989

b. 1906 in Sydenham, London; d. 1989.

Studied at Camberwell School of Art (1922-4) and the Royal College of Art (1924-7). Best known for his watercolours of the English countryside. Worked as an etcher and watercolourist. Also worked as an educational illustrator and was known for his accurate depiction of trees. From 1945 Badmin worked as a commercial artist and received commissions for a number of advertisements. Badmin received solo shows at Leicester Galleries (1955) and Worthing Art Gallery (1967).
