b. 1927 in St. Paul, Minnesota. In the United States Navy (1944-48). Entered the Art Center School, Los Angeles. Lived in Paris and attended the Academie de la Grande, Chaumiere (1951-52). Studied at the University of Hawaii, Honolulu (1953) and the University of California in Los Angeles.
