Carmen Gracia

born 1935

b. 1935 in Mendoza, Argentine. Studied sculpture and painting at the Ecole de Beaux Arts in Mendoza. Came to Paris and studied engraving and etching at Atelier 17 under Stanley William Hayter (1960-64). Continued at The Slade under Anthony Gross (1965) on a British Council Scholarship. Won a Norwegian Scholarship and worked at the Atelier Nord in Oslo for a year (1969). One-man exhibition at the Institute Contemporary Arts, London (1963). Has been exhibited in one-man shows abroad and four in Britain including the Zwemmer Gallery. Has exhibited widely in group shows with Atelier 17, Atelier Nord and the Printmakers Council and also at the international print exhibitions including Ljubliana, Seattle, Paris, Vienna and Bradford.
