Painter and engraver, mostly of landscape scenes.

Rachel Ann Le Bas was educated at W. Heath School, Sevenaosk and City and Guilds of London Art School from 1946. Le Bas has been a frequent exhibitor at the Royal Academy since 1945 and at the New English Art Club (a member since 1972). Le bas is also a member of the Art Workers' Guild (AWG).

Le Bas is perhaps best known for her landscape scenes, mostly of rural England - the West Country in particular - but also urban scenes of Paris and Pont Aven, France. Examples of Le Bas' work are held by The Government Art Collection, Exeter Museum and the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, among others.
