Elizabeth Frink

b. 1930 in Thurlow, Suffolk; d. 1993 in Blandford Forum, Dorset. Studied at the Guilford School of Art (1946-49) and with Bernard Meadows at the Chelsea School of Art (1949-53). Linked with the post-war school of British sculptors, including Reg Butler, Bernard Meadows and Eduardo Paolozzi. Work is distinguished by her commitment to naturalistic forms and themes. Range of subjects include men, birds, dogs, horses and religious motifs. Exhibitions at Young Contempories, New Burlington Galleries (London Group), Beaux Art Gallery, Roland, Browse & Delbanco, Festival of Visual Arts at Leeds International Sculpture Competition.
