On loan and on display

We often loan objects and artworks to other museums and galleries. Sometimes these items are put on display but they may also be used as part of a research project. Please take a look at our blog to discover which items are currently on loan or on display at various locations in London, and further afield.

Partner projects

Both the Cuming Museum and the Local History Library and Archive often work in partnership with other organisations. This can be formal partnerships to deliver a long term project or short, one-off collaborations.

We are currently part of an ongoing project with the University of Greenwich, and other archive services, to submit content to the Ideal Homes site. Hosted by the University, this site brings together the histories of some of London's 'villages' and suburbs such as Dulwich and Camberwell.

We also worked with Camberwell College of Art for a number of years, with many of the museum's objects and artworks being treated by their conservation students.

Recent short term partnerships included working with London College of Communication's new animation course to produce twelve 90-second shorts inspired by the museum's collections.

There are plenty more in the pipeline and if you have a proposal for working with us we'd be happy to hear from you.
