DescriptionEaster egg. It has been dyed pink and painted in gold with emblems of Christ and Astarte, hung from green thread. I green tassle hangs from the base. Astarte was the Phoenician goddess of fertility, motherhood and war, and sometimes regarded as the prototype of the Virgin Mary.
