DescriptionKnown as the 'Hand of Naples'. It is a hand-shaped, hollow copper alloy charm, with the two outer fingers extended. It has a blue bead strung on the wrist, a wire ring on the small finger, and an ornate cuff and a hole at the wrist for attaching a chain. It was used for warding off the 'evil eye'. Charms of this type are used all over the Mediterranean. Obtained from a soldier in a London regiment. On View
