DescriptionWith accompanying text: 'In 1760 a Medicinal Spring was discovered where the present Rouel Road meets Spa Road. Through the enterprise of Mr Keyse, this was turned into a Spa and furnished with a Pump Room, Tea Room and Picture Gallery, after the fashion of Tunbridge Wells and Bath. When its repute began to fail, concerts and fireworks took the place of more aristocratic entertainments, and lasted till 1805.On View
