Description18th century traders token. James' London Condor halfpenny. Obverse: a lion holding a shield inscribed with the words 'No. 6 Martlett Court Bow Street London'. 'C. James' is written above this image. Reverse: a walking tiger with the words 'Royal Male Tiger' and 'C. James 1796' around the outside. The edge of the coin is inscribed: 'Spence x Dealer x in x Coins x London x'.

This token was meant to advertise James' die engraving business.
