DescriptionSmall shallow coil built dish of unfired clay. It is painted red on the outside and inside; the inside has a design of deeper red lines in swirls and loops deviding the sides into 4 quarters with a small circle in the centre. Bowls such as this one were scaled-down copies of tribes cooking implements. They were often taken to coastal regions to sell to colonists as curiosities.
