DescriptionCarved coconut cup, possibly African subcontinent, on a European turned wooden pedestal. Decoration is carved on the surface of the coconut in low relief, depicting four large circular motifs, half circles and bands. The top edge has a recessed edge and three holes, possibly for another element to be fixed on the top. According to the Cuming label wine was to be sucked from a tube inserted into the cup bowl.On View
