    DescriptionSide of a bowl with its base. Hispano-Moresque lustreware from Valencia. The interior is decorated in Islamic patterns of cream, blue and bronze metallic glaze motifs. The exterior is decorated in lines of blue and bronze with calligraphic motifs. It was found in Holborn Valley in 1870.

    Hispano-Moresque lustreware was created in Muslim Spain. It continued to be produced under Christian rule and is characterised by the blending of European and Islamic styles.
