DescriptionGuy Miller worked as an artist and was curator of the South London Fine Art Gallery during the 1930s. This is one of over 50 local studies by Miller in the collection. This painting was exhibited in "Camberwell Past and Present" in 1938. The catalogue entry describes this as a small 18th century hostelry that had been demolished but had once occupied part of the site of the Norman manor house of Camberwell.
