Tess Jaray

Tess Jaray

b. 1937 in Vienna. Studied at St. Martin's school of Art, London (1954-57) and Slade School of Fine Art, London (1957-60). Taught at the Slade School of Fine Art (1968-99). Designed Centenary Square, Birmingham, England and the forecourt for the New British Embassy, Moscow. Work in many public collections, including the Tate Gallery and the British Museum. Collaborated with W.G. Sebald on a book called, "For years now: poems" (2001).
