    DescriptionPart of a Roman pot painted black with white-grey discolouration, and a cracked surface. Some pieces have been re-attached with glue. There are decorative incised lines in groups of 5 running diagonally, and crossing over adjacent groups. Made of Upchurch ware. It could have been used for cooking and storing food, or as a cinerary urn. Found at St. Saviors, London in 1865.
