DescriptionLeaf shaped head of an Austral Islands ceremonial paddle. It has been cut off at the beginning of the handle. It is flat on one side, with a slightly raised spine on the other, and pointed at the end. There is ornate carving on the surface in a banded triangular or cross pattern.
