Description"An Account of the Siege and Taking of Rats-Castle by the Cats" by John Brompton Cuming aged 12, with his father Richard Hugh Cuming's initials. Richard Hugh Cuming initialled all his books. Richard Cuming, the collector, would have been seven at the time this book is dated (1784) and it is tempting to think this might have been something his older brother made for him.
