    DescriptionThe Northern Line station was partially rebuilt in the 1920s when the City & South London Railway tunnels were modernised. The station was rebuilt completely during the construction of Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre in the 1960s, and again at the start of the 21st century, reopening December 2003. This picture records the 1920s Northern Line station before it was replaced in 1966.
