DescriptionChisel made of a curved beaver tooth. The tooth is yellow-brown on the upper surface, mounted on a brown wooden handle, and lashed in placed with plaited vegetable fibre cord. This chisel was probably collected during Captain Cook's third voyage, 1776-1780. It was possibly purchased from the Leverian Museum, Blackfriars, London in 1806 along with other objects.On View
