    DescriptionPig's nose ring, found with Roman remains at Tokenhouse Yard London. Brown with green discolouration.

    Nose rings are typically given to pigs in order to stop them 'rooting' - digging through the soil with their snouts. Rather than a piercing being made as might be expected, these nose rings are simply clipped into the nose.
