DescriptionCurved crescent shaped blade, with serrated teeth. Rounded at the end, with two square holes for attaching the blade to a handle, and traces of red and black. It would have been used for cutting wheat and crops. The Cuming inventory says this piece comes from Thebes and is associated with James Burton (1788-1862) an early Egyptologist who excavated in the Valley of the Kings and Karnak.
