DescriptionTriangular smoothing-iron made by W. C. Lyng. It has raised markings: 'LYNG' inside a wavy border, and the letters 'W' & 'C' either side of handle. It has a curved cylinder handle raised on two flat bent plates. Irons such as this would have been heated on a stove before ironing the clothes.
