DescriptionHawaiian necklace of numerous twisted strands of human hair. It is tied at the top with coir cord, probably part of a 'Lei Niho Palaoa', or Whale Tooth Necklace, with the wood or whale bone pendant missing. The hair has been twisted into cords and possilbly treated with lime to roughen its texture.On View
