DescriptionNecklace of beads, chain and claws. The central part consists of multistrands of small blue glass beads in 7 sections, 4 with round white beads in the middle of each strand. They join together 6 bunches of animal claws; 17 claws in total. There are 2 counterweight pendants made of many strands of iron wire. These are joined by coils of wire at their top. They would have balanced out the weight of the necklace so that it sat more comfortably around the neck. There is a small brass key attached to the chain section.
The uppermost section (which would have gone behind the neck) is made of 3 strands of hide thongs and has pendants attached which include blue and white glass beads.
