    DescriptionA small box of card covered with woven material (blue, green and pink thread) around a glass panel. It contains twelve hand-painted pictures of Chinese figures. Made for Western export to illustrate life in China. The technical term for the paper is 'pith paper', it is made from the inner bark of the mulberry tree. The painting is goache.
