    DescriptionDried body of a skate or ray manipulated to give it human features, and hung inside a glass jar. The 'eyes' are the fish's exhalent respiratory openings and the pecoral wings have been manipulated to look like a bishop's garments. Faked creatures like this were nicknamed 'Jenny Hanivers'.
