DescriptionSigned "I Chapple", lower right corner. Graphite drawing of a wintery and snowy scene looking across a garden onto a set of houses in the West Dulwich area. The viewpoint is from an elevated potision, possibly an upstairs window. The roofs and garden lawns are depicted with blankets with snow on them, both undisturbed by any melt or footfall. Chapple has captured the wintery, skeletal structure of the bare trees whilst successfully instilling her image with the rather odd sense of silence that occurs after a heavy snowfall.
