    DescriptionSmall box of finely of plaited cane. Coloured yellow, orange and green, with a closely fitting lid. This is a piece originally from the collections of Robert Schomburgk, the German born British explorer who travelled to South America and the West Indies. Especially noted for his travels to Guyana 1835 to 1844. The Cumings collected many pieces of Schomburgk's from his Guyana period.
