DescriptionBlue glass heart-shaped charm. Embossed on both sides with a flower pattern around the edge and with a heart-shape in the centre. Set with a glass jewel on one side. Heart charms were worn commonly in East London to preserve good health or occasionally as love charms. This specimen was obtained from hawkers in Whitechapel at the price of one penny.
