DescriptionHeart-shaped charm with a loop at the top for suspension. It has a tin body, silver in colour, set with a light blue glass heart with a raised surface on one side, and a glass bead in the centre. Heart charms were worn commonly in East London to preserve good health or occasionally as love charms. This specimen was obtained from hawkers in Whitechapel at the price of one penny.
