DescriptionHeart-shaped charm decorated with a geometric star design. Heart charms were worn commonly in East London to preserve good health or occasionally as love charms. This specimen was obtained from hawkers in Whitechapel at the price of one penny. Donated to the museum by Edward Lovett in 1916.
