DescriptionPearlised glass heart-shaped charm. Decorated with swirls and a heart in the centre. Set with a glass jewel on one side. Heart charms were worn commonly in East London to preserve good health or occasionally as love charms. This specimen was obtained from hawkers in Whitechapel at the price of one penny.
