DescriptionHeart-shaped charm of tin with a patterned surface. It has a loop at the top to suspend on a chain. Heart charms were worn commonly in East London to preserve good health or occasionally as love charms. This specimen was obtained from hawkers in Whitechapel at the price of one penny.
